How do you stop sim families lives while playing another family?
When I play a family on the sims 3 the other families in the neighborhood continue to live their lives. They even have babies and get married when I don't want them too. How do I stop that from happening? Its really annoying, I don't care if the procreated sim families do that but not for the families that I create.

To play more than one family in the same neighbourhood you have to use the Edit Town button, not the ones on the Options Main Menu. You can switch between families but the ones you're not playing will lose their current little wishes and will carry on their lives while you're not playing them.
