Question by Pot of gold: Any ideas for events to host at a hotel to bring in business?

Anyone have any ideas on what kind of events you can host at a hotel to bring in money and business. Doing an art show, thinking about doing a wine tasting. Any other suggestions. Its a MS 3 star hotel, in a nice area.

cheese and wine parties go down well, as do cocktail parties. You could also have a world food & drink event with samples of different cuisines & tipples from around the world.
