Question by royale_inliner: What are some fun/interesting books about the 1500s or earlier (nonfiction)?

For my history class I have to do two book reviews on nonfiction pieces. I really don't want to read a dry, boring book so does anyone have any suggestions for something interesting.

I like ancient Greek history personally, but anything else is awesome as well. Thanks!

Herodotus' The Histories is an enjoyable read.
