Question by Mic: Can a single mother with 2 children claim married with allowances on w-4 and head of household on her taxes?

If so, will this result in more money on her paycheck? The allowances she is doing now is single/10. If she claims married - how many allowance does she need to claim on the W-4?

No, of course not. You can only claim "married" if you ARE married.
